Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and mindfulness are crucial for children as they help them develop self-awareness, manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, make responsible decisions, and cope with stress, ultimately leading to improved academic performance, mental well-being, and overall quality of life. In this class we will be exploring a variety of SEL skills and mindfulness techniques (including, but not limited to, breathing exercises, yoga, art, guided relaxation, communication skills, etc.) I am a Yoga Alliance certified Trauma-informed Yoga Instructor, as well as a certified Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator. I am currently pursuing my Master's of Education in Social Emotional Learning with a Certificate in Transformational Leadership.
