The term “plein air” was used to describe Claude Monet and the Impressionists in France. In French it means “open air” or “outside,” but since Monet’s time the term has been used to describe people who take their easels outdoors to paint.

Love being outdoors in nature and painting? If so, join us for the Plein air art workshop with Kim Brown at the fountain in the Town Square.

Kim Brown is currently an Elementary School art teacher in Montgomery County. Kim has lived in Berkeley county for over 10 years and has also taught 4th grade at Fountaindale Elementary School in Hagerstown, MD. Her artwork has been featured most recently in the BWI Thurgood Marshal Airport in MD.In case of inclement weather, we will be painting at Studio @123.
